What to include

• Reporting a file. Include the ringtone name and its page URL, plus what the problem is. Copyright reports should follow the process on the copyright policy page, which lists what a valid notice needs.
• A file will not play or download. Tell us the ringtone name, your browser and your device. Most of these turn out to be a browser setting, and we can usually say which one.
• Requesting a category or a style. Describe the sound rather than naming a song — we cannot produce covers of commercial music, but we can usually build something in a requested style.
• A correction to a guide. Menu paths change between OS versions. If a step in the setup guide no longer matches your phone, tell us the model and the OS version.

What we cannot help with

• Recovering files you deleted from your phone.
• Unlocking, rooting or repairing a device.
• Supplying ringtone versions of commercial songs. We do not have the rights and neither would you — see the post on legal ringtones.
